I’ve been involved with permaculture for awhile (took my first Permaculture Design Certificate course back in 2005), and have been involved in the Strong Towns movement for a shorter while (since 2018 I believe).
Ever since I first stumbled on Strong Towns, I’ve felt that ST principles are basically permaculture design principles applied to the urban environment, and to human interactions in the urban environment. And no wonder I love Strong Towns content so much!
Well, it turns out someone has actually written an article about that very thing, the parallels between permaculture design principles and Strong Towns principles! Check out this fantastic article by Gracen Johnson at Strong Towns. This was written back in 2014 but I just found out about it today, via email correspondence with a content manager at Strong Towns.
